Chiara Boni La Petite Robe SS21: A message of re-birth, positivity and optimism.

In a time of uncertainty and distance in the fashion industry, Chiara Boni traveled back to her roots for a socially distanced showcase. Giving “Made In Italy” its own moment, the designer decided to host a select few to her newest Spring-Summer 21 collection at her favorite destination in Italy- Forte Dei Marmi. The intimate runway saw timeless and elegant styles contrasting the extravagance of her previous collections.

Set on the shores of a beigy beach, the delicate light of a summer afternoon leaned into the collection’s cream-colored tones and dainty silhouettes. Embracing a refined and functional aesthetic, the pieces are a celebration of lightness and carefreeness. Each tailored cut and seam is a good reflection of Chiara Boni’s continual attention to chic yet impeccable fit. Each ruffle, frill, and hemline made it’s way gracefully down the sandy path wowing us at its intentional fluidity.

Inspired by the fifties and sixties, we saw a lineup of monochromatic, hyper-feminine looks, each one more impressive than the last. The label’s iconic and environmentally sustainable jersey allowed for sculpted bodies and softer definitions. After the final walk, in a show-stopping moment, the models walked off toward the horizon and into the water thus, bringing out the conscious and deliberate playfulness of the otherwise feminine and muted collection.
